Humor War

I was putting Molloy to bed last night and after giving her a kiss, she advised me that it was too small and she wanted more kisses. So I asked her to put out her hands in the Allstate Insurance position and proceeded to drop kisses into them.

While holding her hands at the wrists, the more kisses I dropped into them, the more I pressed her hands down toward the bed and suggested that these kisses were very heavy. She struggled to lift them, but to no avail.

Finally, when her hands were "filled", I told her to splash them onto her face, which she promptly proceeded to do with my help.

As I was about to leave, I noticed an uncomfortable expression come across her face. First she looked a little confused, then some anguish leaked in, and before I realized what was happening, her head began to fall to the bed. "They ARE heavy," she exclaimed, just before her face collapsed into the blankets.

I know she gets that sense of humor from me, but she seems to always take it to a level beyond my expectations. One might even argue that she is beating me in a humor war which I apparently started. And she hasn't even turned 5 yet.
